Getting Started

How do I sign up for a membership?
You can join online in a few minutes, or visit us in person at 7951 Alderbridge Way, Unit 155. Our team will help you pick the right plan and get you started.
Can I tour the facility before joining?
Yes. Book a free tour or stop by during staffed hours (9:00 AM to Close) and a team member will show you around, no appointment needed.
I am new to the gym. Is Fittopia right for me?
Absolutely. We welcome everyone from first-timers to seasoned athletes. Fittopia is a space where people of all fitness levels can train, grow, and be themselves. Every new member gets a free 1-on-1 personal training intro session.
Is the facility multilingual?
Yes. Our team includes native speakers of Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog, Japanese, Punjabi, and Hindi. Let us know your language preference in advance and we will do our best to match you with a team member who can help.
Is the gym easy to get to by transit?
Yes. There are multiple bus stops near our facility, and Lansdowne SkyTrain Station is right in front of Lansdowne Centre, making us very accessible by transit.

Membership Plans

What membership plans do you offer?
Three tiers: First Year Upfront (best value, pay for year one in advance), One-Year Agreement (lower bi-weekly rate in exchange for a 12-month term), and Monthly, Cancel Anytime (no long-term commitment). See full rates on the Membership page.
What is the difference between Bank Account and Credit Card billing?
Both bill bi-weekly. Bank account (pre-authorized debit) is a few dollars less per payment on all recurring plans. Credit card is slightly more but gives you the convenience of card rewards. You choose when you sign up.
Are there no-contract memberships?
Yes. The Monthly, Cancel Anytime plan is month-to-month with no long-term commitment. Annual plans offer a lower bi-weekly rate in exchange for a 12-month term.
Is my rate locked in?
Yes. Your membership rate is locked in until you cancel. Rates may change for new members, but existing members continue on their original rate as long as their membership stays active.
Is there an enrollment fee?
Yes, a one-time $49.99 enrollment fee applies when you sign up. If you cancel and later re-sign, the enrollment fee applies again.
What is the Club Enhancement fee?
A $49.99 Club Enhancement fee is charged bi-annually (twice per year). It funds equipment upkeep and facility improvements so the space stays in top shape for members.
03

Billing and Payments

How often am I charged?
Recurring dues are charged every 2 weeks (bi-weekly) on the date your membership starts. The First Year Upfront plan charges year one in full at sign-up, then bi-weekly afterwards.
What happens if a payment fails?
A $25 service charge is added for each failed payment. We will attempt to redraft a few times. Access may be suspended until the balance is paid. Full details are in our Membership Terms (section 6).
Do prices include GST?
All rates shown in our marketing exclude GST. 5% GST is added to each payment and shown in the order summary at checkout.
Can I change my payment method?
Yes. Stop by the front desk or email [email protected] with your new bank or card info and we will update it before your next draft.
04

Hold, Freeze, and Cancellation

Can I put my membership on hold?
Yes. Members may hold their membership for up to 6 months per calendar year with a minimum 30 days notice. Submit a hold request here.
What is a medical freeze?
If you have a medical condition that prevents you from training, you can request a medical freeze at no cost. A doctor's note is required. The freeze pauses billing until you are cleared to return.
How do I cancel my membership?
Monthly plans: 30 days written notice anytime, no fees. Annual plans: 30 days written notice after the first year. Early termination during year one of an annual plan follows BC consumer law and our Terms (section 13). Submit cancellation in writing at the front desk or email [email protected].
What are my consumer rights under BC law?
Under BC's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, you may cancel a contract for future services within 10 days of signing for any reason, or anytime if the contract is substantially different from what you signed. Full details in our Terms (section 5).
